The Society was established to protect the Green Belt, the character and open aspect of the village; its historic footprint has always had an open and visual separation from urban Woking. The last visual separation is the North end of Egley Road

Carla Holmes has submitted plans for 88 House and Flats along with a 62-Bed Care home on the Egley Road Greenfields in Mayford. This Large development will join built-up Woking to Mayford.

Although residents of Hillside will be the worst affected, Mayford will then be joined to Buit-up Woking and be blighted with a new mass of traffic and development. It will set a president in Mayford for inappropriate development everywhere. It will only then be a matter of time before it's on your doorstep.

Help us fight this now now or the village will never be the same again!

• The North End of Egley Road is the only chance of visual separation from built-up Woking

• An irreversible president will be set by this development of Flats and 3 storey holmes

• The site is critically important as an area of rising land containing Deer, Owls and a Mass of protected Wildlife

• The traffic implications for Egley Road will be disastrous

• Mayford is not designed for mass development as it has no shops of amenities, just one post office.

• The landowner has already raked in around 23 Million pounds (£23000000) in the last few years from Woking Council. This development will of course be a further windfall.
