Mayford Unites to Protect its Green Belt!

Thursday evening's council meeting saw Mayford residents turnout to protest about the removal of green belt land in their village. Thank you to all residents who wrote emails and letters, delivered literature and showed their support in this fight to save the village's identity. Egley Road, Mayford to Suffer Green Belt loss and Mass Development!

Woking site allocation recommendations are now live and as predicted Mayford is set for even more loss of green belt with mass development on the Egley Road field. We already knew due to communications back as far as 2013, that Woking Borough Council's CEO was offering support to the landowner on how to develop housing on these green belt fields. The site allocation recommendations are going to full council for a recommendation on Thursday 18th October 7.00pm Please come and show your support for Mayford at the meeting and be assured that we will not stand by and allow the council to behave in this manner.
