Freemantles School (Smarts Heath Road, Mayford Green, GU22 0AN) is looking for volunteers willing to help out with their horticulture department. A lot of work is needed to get the garden area into shape.
This would suit someone who has a few hours a week to help with weeding or maintaining the garden areas and garden produce could be given in exchange as a form of payment. Volunteers would need to be DBS checked as they have vulnerable young people at the school. They would not need to work with the students unless they want to, but would be working in the areas with students around them.
They are also intending to hold some working weekends when volunteers could help out on either a Saturday or Sunday.
Freemantles School are also looking for donations of the following:
Solar powered water feature
Green, brown & clear wood preserver for fences & sheds wind chimes for Sensory garden
