Woking town centre will have 5,500 new homes by 2034, council expects  

Although the council’s Local Development Framework has earmarked several green belt sites for housing development Councillor Bittleston believes the number of homes being built in the town centre will mean many of these sites will not need to be used.  

He said: “My guess is we will never use it. We will have over-provided – no bad thing – in the town centre.”
